MAKING A DIFFERENCE What Charli Ann has accomplished with her donations:
In 3rd grade, she provided funds to send two people to Waco, TX where they worked with MissionWaco on inner city cleanup.
In 6th grade, she provided funds to send two people to Tennessee, where they roofed and painted homes for people in need.
At 12 years old, she financed trips to Japan for five people where they sponsored and facilitated family retreats.
Every year since she was eight years old, Charli Ann has contributed to World Vision’s Infant Care program, providing funds to support current needs for babies worldwide, including such diverse help as mosquito netting for newborns and immunizations for infants and children.
Recently, she has contributed to The Last Well, raising singlehandedly nearly all the funds necessary to build a well providing safe drinking water to people in Liberia.
In September of 2019 our team at Lakepointe Church recognized that there were a number of couples in our community who were ready to get married and needed to get married but finances were an issue and we wanted to help those couples move from a co-habitation situation towards a God-honoring marriage. Therefore we made a bold offer to these couples that we would gladly use our church and our staff to eliminate the cost hurdle and create a free wedding dynamic for these couples. About 30 couples took us up on this offer and that is where Charli Ann came in like a superstar to assist in a major way. She contacted the church and let us know that she wanted to donate her services and help provide incredible individual wedding cakes for a group of couples that were getting married on a specific day.
Not only did she take the time to make each couple a cake, but she created an incredible cake for each couple. That generosity on her part truly was the ‘icing on the cake’ for a great day. Those couples were blown away by the whole experience and especially because they had stellar cake to celebrate with. We could not be more thankful for Charli Ann and how she uses her incredible talent to bless others.

When I was thinking about having a custom cake made for my son's first birthday, I was shocked when a friend told me about a 12 year old girl who had recently made a custom cake for her. I looked up her site, and was blown away by the work (cakes) she had posted. I just couldn't believe that a 7th grader was that talented! Right away I called her mom, sent over some inspiration photos and chatted about the cake a bit. I was glad I called about 1 month ahead, because she was already booking cakes for quite a while out. Finally cake pick-up day arrived. I was in awe of how Charli Ann's talent, creativity and attention to detail came together in one amazing cake! Not only was it completely adorable, but it tasted so, so good! It's always fun to have a story to share, and I told everyone at my baby's party about the 12 year old girl who made the cake! They couldn't believe it! Since then, I've ordered an additional custom cake from Charli Ann, and my mom secretly surprised me with a custom cake for MY birthday this year! This girl has got some serious talent, and her skills rival any custom cake maker I've ever seen.
I can't wait to see how this whole cake story plays out for Charli Ann! Great things are ahead!

Charli Ann has made multiple cakes for us in the past, but when we found out we were pregnant with our second child we knew we wanted her to do something for a gender reveal too. We opted for cupcakes this time to share with family and friends and she knocked it out of the park. They were beautiful, elegant, and of course, delicious!

Hailing from a VERY small family (I only have ONE aunt, ONE uncle, and THREE cousins), I am unlike many of my generation. Perhaps that is why I find myself so proud of my cousin's 14 year old daughter, Charli Ann Joseph-- and why I want to share her story with you. Charli Ann, 14, of Rockwall, Texas, has a God given talent that she is sharing with this world to make it just a little bit "sweeter." I hope you will give her the opportunity to share it with you, too!
Charli has always loved baking from the time she learned to talk. However, it wasn't until a year ago that she began realizing her cakes were so desired that she should launch a baking business in the Dallas area and use the proceeds to better the lives of others. And so began the story of "Charli Ann’s Heavenly Cakes." Within just a year Charli Ann has used her proceeds to pay for Mission Trips, buy Christmas gifts for children in need, and bring that priceless smile to so many people's faces - all by adding a little slice of heaven to their plates at weddings, birthday parties, and/or work events.
While her baking story is pretty remarkable, what is even more-so is that Charli Ann has been ridiculed and bullied at school, greatly due in part to her successes and sense of compassion. She began home-school last fall, however, despite these challenges she has continued to be kind towards others. When faced with adversity, Charli Ann has kept that smile on her face and maintained her servant heart. She has proven that even in the midst of evil, do good.
I hope you will grant this remarkable young girl an opportunity to share her story and cakes with you directly. She not only makes our family proud, but I KNOW makes this world a better place! ~Marian Anderson, Arlington, VA
